Admission to EE Graduate Program (International Students)

Application Deadline

The deadline for admission for international students is December 15. We will not be able to consider applications submitted after the deadline. Applicants are responsible for tracking their electronic application to make sure that all items are submitted by the deadline. The University does not notify applicants of missing materials.

The Graduate Admissions office recommends that students should submit applications by November 1 to provide more time for processing international transcripts. The EE Department recognizes that the November 1 date may be too early for some applicants and accepts applications submitted up to December 15. Before proceeding and before returning to this site, international applicants should review the summary of Financial Ability for International Applicants

Application

Applicants will submit an electronic on-line application. The application process allows applicants to submit all materials except the GRE Score via the web application. Instructions for submitting applications materials can be found on the web application. It is the responsibility of the applicant to submit materials per the instructions.

These items will be submitted via the on-line electronic application process.

GRE, TOEFL, TOEFLiBT, and TSE scores are not submitted via the on-line application process. Applicants should request the Educational Testing Service (ETS) to submit scores electronically to the University of Washington Institution, Code 4854.

In order to assure sufficient time for the reporting of the scores, applicants should take the exam no later than September. For details on the recommended passing scores, return to Criteria For Admission.
