Use this application form to apply for Teaching Assistantships for Winter Quarter 2011.

Eligibility

Graduate students are eligible to apply. No undergraduates.
International applicants must pass an "English as a Second Language" (ESL) requirement. (Requirement minimums are listed below).

Recruited TA's are requested to also fill out this application to provide necessary information.

If you are an International/Permanent Resident student, a passing TOEFLibt, IELTS, TSE or Versant test score OR a passing grade in ENGL 105 (taken here at UW) is required before you can be appointed. The following are considered passing scores:

TOEFLibt: 26 on the Speaking portion
IELTS: 7.0 or higher on Speaking portion
TSE: 55 or higher
Versant: 65 or higher

If you have not met one of the minimum requirements outlined above , you are NOT qualified to be a TA. Please consult the Advising Office.
