Use this application form to apply for Teaching Assistantships for Winter Quarter 2011.

Eligibility

  1. Graduate students are eligible to apply. No undergraduates.
  2. International applicants must pass an "English as a Second Language" (ESL) requirement. (Requirement minimums are listed below).

Recruited TA's are requested to also fill out this application to provide necessary information.

If you are an International/Permanent Resident student, a passing TOEFLibt, IELTS, TSE or Versant test score OR a passing grade in ENGL 105 (taken here at UW) is required before you can be appointed. The following are considered passing scores:

TOEFLibt: 26 on the Speaking portion
IELTS: 7.0 or higher on Speaking portion
TSE: 55 or higher
Versant: 65 or higher

If you have not met one of the minimum requirements outlined above , you are NOT qualified to be a TA. Please consult the Advising Office.
