Greetings: Now that your acting chair has returned from his exploits in South America, this and the next Loose Bits installments are catch-ups on the past two weeks. 1. Our EE Department Halloween Party on 10/31 was a great success with many small children running about in various disguises. Thanks to all of the advising staff - Helene, Frankye, Amy, and Robyn - for helping to put this together! 2. Professor John Sahr was in the news again, this time making the front page of the Seattle Times on 10/27 for his work on passive radar and its applications to space weather. John also gave the EE Department Colloquium this week on 10/30 describing his research. 3. The EE Department Colloquiums are now available as an on-demand video playback from the EE Department website.
