Low Midterm Exam Score Compensation:
If the final exam grade is higher than the midterm grade by at least 15 points, then the midterm exam will be weighted only 5% and the final exam will be weighted 25% of the final course average. This provides some compensation for a low midterm exam score, but still allows those who did well on the midterm exam to retain that credit.
Only one midterm and one final exam will be prepared. No make-up exams will be given. Schedule conflicts must be state PRIOR to the exam period. Any conflicts will be resolved by means of oral exams. Failure to attend an exam or to make prior arrangements results in a score of zero. Incompletes are not given out as grades as a consequence of missing an exam, laboratory, or homework assignment.
