Collaborative learning is interdependent. Students rely on each other to finish assignments, solve problems, complete projects, and ultimately, to achieve the learning objectives for a course, curriculum, or other educational activity. The key to collaborative learning is that one student holds information (either formally via the class structure or informally via previous experience) that other students want or need to learn.
