LTE is the latest standard in mobile network technology that was developed to ensure 3GPP's competitive edge over other cellular technologies for the next 10 years and beyond. LTE, also known as Evolved UTRA and Evolved UTRAN, provides new physical layer concepts and protocol architecture for UMTS. In this talk, a technical overview of LTE is provided, including its key physical and MAC characteristics.
Speaker Biography:
Dr. Titus Lo currently serves as the VP of Technology at Neocific, Inc., a leading wireless communication technology provider (www.neocific.com). He has been involved in R&D in wireless communications for more than 15 years. Dr. Titus Lo received his B.A.Sc. from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, and his M.Eng. and Ph.D. from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, all in electrical engineering,.
