Automatic Left Ventricle Contour Tracing System
Working collaboratively with Dr. Florence Sheehan of
the Cardiology Laboratory at the University of
Washington Medical School, we are determining how
to extract the structural constraints inherent in
hand drawn boundaries of the left ventricle
from X-ray ventriculargrams and use these
constraints as the basis of an automatic method
to trace the left ventricle boundaries from
ventriculargrams. The method uses gray scale over
time through the cariac cycle, regional shape over
time, and global shape information.
