Abstract
Model Order Reduction
In the analysis of large linear or nonlinear circuits, it is often
necessary to reduce the systems described typically by above 1000
equations to a much simpler system first,in order the speed up the
simulation with reasonable accuracy; For linear dynamic system,
various model reduction methods have been developed based on Pade
Approximation and Krylov subspace. And recently, interest has been
shifted to the model order reduction problem of nonlinear dynamic
system, which is still an open problem.
In this talk, a survey about linear and nonlinear model reduction
techniques will be presented with emphasis on algorithms for
linear model reduction.

Abstract -- The recognition of higher level of structure from a
lower
level netlist is a valuable tool in many CAD applications. Now,
we are interested in
subcircuit extraction or partitioning used to speed up
switch-level simulation
of circuits when a circuit designer wants a quick functional
analysis of a
circuit without necessarily obtaining detailed timing
information. In this
presentation a survey is made on algorithms that how to extract
from transistor
level netlist to gate level netlist, and how to extract from gate
level netlist
to cell level netlist. This report will be a first step for my
future work.
