History

The Network Security Lab (NSL) was founded by Professor Radha Poovendran in 2001. We are located in the Dept. of Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington. Our research is sponsored by NSF (National Science Foundation), ARO (Army Research Office), ONR (Office of Naval Research), NRL (Naval Research Lab), ARL (Army Research Laboratory), and The Boeing Company.

Our Mission

The mission of Network Security Lab (NSL) is to conduct basic and applied research in the security of critical networks and network components. Our contributions are in the areas of wireless network infrastructure, Internet security, and commercial/industrial applications.
