2013.12.03 - Our patent application "Color-selective quantum dot photodetectors" was issued a US patent (No. 8,598,567). The color-selectivity is achieved by integrating plasmonic nanoparticles with quantum dot photodetectors.

2013.06.12 - Dr. Chang-Ching Tu's company LuminSands was featured by UW News: Silicon-based nanoparticles could make LEDs cheaper, greener to produce.
