Babak Parviz is the creator of Google Glass and a director at Google X. He received his BA in Literature from University of Washington; BS in Electronics Engineering from Sharif University of Technology; MS in Physics, MS in Electrical Engineering, and PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of Michigan; and completed his postdoctoral training in Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Harvard University.
His work has been selected twice (2008, 2012) as the invention of the year by Time and has been put on display at the London Museum of Science. He is the recipient of MIT Technology Review 35, NSF CAREER, and Creativity 50 awards among others. He has held academic positions in US and Europe and has been involved with a number of companies ranging from start-ups to fortune 100s. Thousands of articles have been written about his work to this date.
