The PMP Advising Office is located on the 2nd floor of the Paul Allen Center in CSE 224. Feel free to stop by, call, or email with any questions. We are happy to help! Contact information is below.
Building Access & HuskyCard Accounts
The Husky Card is the official identification card for members of the UW community. It
provides access to a variety of services and opportunities, including
access to campus libraries. Please obtain your HuskyCard by the end of the first week of classes.
All registered PMP students will be granted general building access via your UW HuskyCard. Please see our Facilities page for specific building access & information.
All PMP students are required to take a minimum of 5 colloquium credits (maximum of 9) as part of your graduation requirements. The colloquium does not meet in person; rather, students submit paper reviews online each quarter they are registered for the colloquium. Please review the colloquium syllabus in detail before registering.
Please set up an EE Computing Account before the start of the quarter. While the EE department has migrated many of its systems to use UW NetID authentication, EE accounts are necessary for linux lab or other research computing systems, or to various pages on the EE website.
Please refer to the PMP Curriculum Requirements webpage for degree requirements, subject areas, and course offerings.
All PMP communication is sent to your UW email account. It is your responsibility to forward your UW email to your personal/work email address if you plan on using a non-UW email address as your primary email.
All matriculated UW Seattle campus students, and all students living in UW Seattle campus residence halls or single-student apartments, are required to provide proof of measles immunity. Students will not be allowed to register for any classes until they have satisfied the UW Measles Requirement. Please visit the UW Measles Requirement webpage for more information.
On-Leave & Continuous Enrollment
To maintain graduate status, a student must be enrolled or must be on official On-Leave status for every quarter except for summer. See the On-Leave webpage for information and procedures.
There are a number of parking options available on campus, including Short Term Night Permits and Individual Commuter Tickets. Please visit the Commuter Services webpage for more information.
Registration services for PMP students are provided in collaboration with Professional & Continuing Education (PCE) and not via MyUW. Prior to the quarterly registration deadlines, you will receive an email from the PMP Advisor with an attached PCE registration form that includes course offerings for that quarter, registration deadlines, and other important registration information. All registration paperwork must be submitted to the PCE Registration Office (not the PMP Office), with payment due at the time of registration, and made directly to PCE.
Boeing Employees: For payment, use Boeing's online voucher process. On the PCE registration form select "third-party payer" and fax in your voucher together with the registration form. Direct any questions to PCE registration services at email@example.com.
EE 505: Probability & Random Processes: EE 505 is offered each fall quarter, and is REQUIRED for all new PMP students, unless you have contaced the PMP Advisor for waiver approval. After you have completed EE 505, you can choose any course from our offerings list. Please review the course description for EE 505 here.
