Alumnus Patrick Loughlin named 2011 IEEE Fellow

pat_loughlin_000EE alumnus, Patrick Loughlin has just been elected a Fellow of the IEEE for his contributions to “time-frequency analysis and nonstationary signal processing.” Loughlin is the William Kepler Whiteford Professor of Bioengineering, and Electrical & Computer Engineering, at the University of Pittsburgh, and also a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) and the Acoustical Society of America (ASA). Professor Les Atlas was Loughlin’s advisor, and he received his PhD in 1992.
