LaDonna Handugan received the Outstanding Professional Student Award.

Yang Research Award

Tong Zhang received the Yang Research Award.

Vikram Jandhyala & Suja Vaidyanathan Endowed Innovation Award

Yicheng Wang received the Vikram Jandhyala & Suja Vaidyanathan
Endowed Innovation Award in Electrical Engineering for an undergraduate.

Shane Colburn received the Vikram Jandhyala & Suja Vaidyanathan
Endowed Innovation Award in Electrical Engineering for a graduate student.

Chair’s Awards

A Chair’s Award went to the College of Engineering – UW EE Advancement Team:
Mahnaz Sherzoi, Jessie Muhm and Kelly Williams.

A Chair’s Award also went to Professor Payman Arabshahi
for his support and guidance of the ENGINE Entrepreneurial Capstone Program.

1967 Graduates

We were pleased to have six graduates from the Class of 1967 come back to campus and
join us for the 50-year reunion. They were honored at the ceremony. Showing what each
graduate had accomplished in 50 years, they offered inspiration to the Class of 2017.

Graduation Speaker

Dr. George Huang gave a moving address to the Class of 2017,
starting off with this piece of advice:

“What I would suggest to you is to live your own life, and
don’t try to follow someone else’s. Don’t be constrained by
the lives set by other people.”
