The Professional Master’s Program (PMP) focuses on modern technical topics and the latest university research, giving students the expertise needed to drive innovation. Designed for recent graduates, as well as professionals already working in the field, or wanting to break into electrical engineering, the PMP prepares graduates for new and rewarding career opportunities.
The program serves the growing need for engineers and scientists with advanced degrees in the Puget Sound region. With a leading curriculum equivalent to that of the daytime master’s program, the PMP offers courses on smart grid and renewable energy; systems, controls and robotics; electromagnetics; signal, image and video processing; embedded and mobile applications; microelectromechanical systems; and wireless communications.
UW EE is the top electrical engineering department in the region. The Professional Master’s Program provides a nationally-leading master’s degree in electrical engineering for professionals in innovative products, research and development.
The curriculum is designed to fit the busy schedules of working professionals and can be pursued part-time or full-time. Classes meet one night a week.
On-campus information sessions give prospective students an opportunity for one-on-one conversation with the Professional Programs Advising Office and faculty. Sessions provide a comprehensive overview of the Electrical Engineering Professional Master’s Program, including admissions requirements, deadlines, PMP curriculum and the PMP community. We invite you to attend!
