The Professional Master’s Program is aimed at helping professionals and full-time students further their electrical and computer engineering education and train them in cutting-edge and industry-relevant topics. Classes meet in the evening and students can study either full-time or part-time. Typically, the program can be completed in one-and-a-half to three years.
Students study with world-class researchers and industry professionals in a curriculum designed to prepare graduates to become industry leaders. Students interested in pursuing a master’s thesis or a Ph.D. are encouraged to consider the daytime graduate programs.
Part-time Curriculum
The part-time curriculum typically takes nine academic quarters (three calendar years) to complete. Students generally take a four-credit course plus a one-credit seminar each quarter, for a total of five credits per quarter.
Full-time Curriculum
The full-time curriculum usually takes four to five quarters (one to one-and-a-half calendar years) to complete. Full-time students must take a minimum of 10 credits each quarter and a minimum of five seminar credits during the course of their study.
Note: Students on F-1 visas are required to pursue a full-time curriculum.
