Microsoft’s Craig Mundie Demos Haptics-Kinect Work from Biorobotics Lab

During a presentation last week at the Cleveland Clinic, Microsoft’s Chief Research and Strategy Officer, Craig Mundie spoke about the evolution of computing, which included a discussion about the haptics-Kinect work being done in the UW EE’s Biorobotics Lab. Visiting graduate student Fredrik Ryden has been working with Professors Howard Chizeck and Blake Hannaford on this project. Approximately three minutes into the video, Mundie provides an explanation of the research, and then shows part of the video of the work at around the five minute mark. Check out the video below!
