Stephanie Swanson
UW Department of Electrical Engineering undergraduate advisor Stephanie Swanson received the Adviser of the Year award by the Association of Professional Advisers and Counselors (APAC). The award honors the top campus adviser for the entire academic year.
For Swanson, who has been an academic counselor at the UW for more than five years, advising students is something she loves to do.
“It is such an honor to be recognized for something you love to do,” Swanson said. “There are so many advisers across campus who put their hearts into their work and deserve acknowledgement, so I am very humbled to have been chosen as Adviser of the Year by my peers. I am fortunate to work with such amazing students every day and will continue to strive towards serving them and the UW campus to the best of my ability.”
APAC supports the engagement and development of the advising community by at the UW, offering opportunities for networking, professional events and resources and sharing of best practices. The Adviser of the Year is selected by APAC members and campus counselors.
