July 3, 2011

Recent UW EE graduate Dr. Subhanshu Gupta (left) and current Ph.D. candidate Daibashish Gangopadhyay (right) are the recipients of one of three student best paper awards presented at the 2011 IEEE Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits Symposium. Their paper was selected from among 16 finalists chosen from more than 100 submitted student papers. Their work was co-advised by Profs. Dave Allstot and Chris Rudell in collaboration with Dr. Hasnain Lakdawala from the Intel Circuits Research Laboratory. The paper is titled:

S. Gupta, D. Gangopadhyay, H. Lakdawala, J.C. Rudell, and D.J. Allstot, “A QPLL-timed direct-RF sampling band-pass sigma-delta ADC with a 1.2 GHz tuning range in 0.13um CMOS”

The 2011 RFIC Symposium, one of the foremost IEEE technical conferences for both the academic and industrial communities, brings focus to leading-edge technical accomplishments in radio frequency integrated circuits, systems, and devices.
